From 1987 I have been involved with a number of visual art activities. They include, designing the stage set for the play 'Empire' at the Abraham Moss Community Theatre; art lectures and seminars at art galleries and educational establishments, including Cornerhouse, Manchester, Tate Gallery, Liverpool, John Moores University, Liverpool and the Metropolitan University, Manchester. I have also written feature articles on visual art and on art criticism for magazines; eg., Bazaar and The Artful Reporter ( a North West arts magazine, in the 80’s). My visual art writings also include exhibition catalogue essays for the following: Dub Transition, a major touring exhibition of the work of Denzil Forrester; Jouvert Print Exhibition and Tony Phillips' 'Jazz and The Twentieth Century'.
